INTRODUCTION
AS WE LOOK BACK TO THOSE WHO WALKED BEFORE US... we see how God gave His annointing and power to those men and women who gave their ALL to walk with the LIVING GOD! God's love and annointing brought about revival. You can see how they had so close a relationship with God.
ONE SUCH PERSON, THAT WE RESPECT, was General William Booth, the founder of the Salvation Army. He lived and worked in England in the late 1800's and led tens of thousands of hurting people into a relationship with the LORD. General Booth had the insight and wisdom of a man who deeply loved God. He loved others enough not only to tell them about JESUS, but to go into the misery, filth, and darkness and share in their pain...that they might in return, share in the joy of knowing God. Let us follow his wisdom, compassion, and love.
IN THIS SECTION... THERE ARE SEVEN STEPS layed out for you that we have faith will truly help you to find and know the LIVING GOD. We believe it is possible for ANYONE who has a sincere desire to find God, to enter into that joy and peace... He so freely gives to those who love Him. We ask you to follow the directions on the next page (Before you Start) carefully. The Lord is calling you... the choice is yours!
IF YOU WILL SINCERELY FOLLOW THESE STEPS, you will not only meet JESUS CHRIST... the Savior of life... but you will begin to walk with Him in an intimate, loving relationship. It is our prayer that you will read and meditate on these truths, with an open and searching heart... and that you will enter into a deep and loving relationship with your Father in Heaven.
BEFORE YOU START
THESE SEVEN STEPS are for the use of those of you who have a SERIOUS DESIRE to receive the mercy... and love of God, which alone can deliver you from: your bad habits, your unforgiveness and bitterness, from the powers of darkness, and from the wrath to come. To those of you who are ready to read and obey this... we give the following instructions:
1. SET APART A SPECIAL TIME... to read and consider these things. You can think about going away, if possible, into some quiet place where you can be alone with God.
2. EARNESTLY PRAY AND ASK GOD... for the guidance and direction of the Holy Spirit which He has promised to all who seek Him. God will give you the Holy Spirit if you ask Him.
3. WITH ALL YOUR HEART... on your knees before God... just begin to call upon Him, quietly begin to feel His presence... and take one step at a time.
BE CAREFUL NOT TO LEAVE THE FIRST STEP for the second... until it is clearly understood, fully accepteed as true, and solemnly decided upon! Do the same with the second and third steps, until the last step is reached. PLEASE! SPEAK OUT LOUD WHEN READING!
4. AFTER READING THIS carefully and thoughtfully from the beginning to end... go through it again following the same instructions.
5. IF THIS COURSE IS FOLLOWED... we feel quite sure that no sincere person will fail to reach not only the mercy seat of God, but the loving arms of the Savior JESUS CHRIST... and the knowledge of the forgiveness of your sins. Our God is not a respecter of persons... so what He has done in us He will do for you.
